Roda Operman
Myfood, an agribusiness dream
All of us have a dream, there are those who like keeping them in their mind. And there are those who make them possible. Myfood is the dream of Roda Operman and she is working to concretize it.
Myfood’s vision is to help Madagascar, her country reduce staple food imports, become self-sufficient and eradicate hunger. Roda's company is involved in agribusiness. She is currenty beginning, the harvest is yet to come.
.
As an high-beg entrepreneur, Roda was obliged to “reshape her original dream”. She thought about hectares of flour, rice and maize. Eventually, she finalised with gerainium and green beans on 2 hectares. Why?
She shared her project with her boss and the latter showed her the opportunity of green bean, Lecofruit, which can be a client and technical partner at the same time. And she also shared her project with a friend expert in agribusiness and he exposed the opportunity of geranium, easy to raise and with hight added-value.
It may sounds far a vision but in the end, those little activities will hep her to raise enough money to finance my staple food unit.
Roda's Message:
"Dear future entrepreneures, share your business, tell it to everyone, they can enrich you in ways you cannot imagine, but keep in mind your vision.
Despair and doubts may come in the way. And I should admit I was about to leave and choose the comfort zone of a house and the garden of my parents.
But God recalled me that all the sacrifice I have done would be meaningless if I give up now. So when the hot season come, look behind and see the road that you have aready walked and move forward.
To enter into the closed group of those who make their dream possible, I am seeking friends who are a part of it. They are my mentors, my inspiration and they challenge me to my limits.
Those are my few advice fto you dummies , like me.
Enjoy your journey".
